About our classes
At Musical Munchkins, we’re about so much more than singing songs and having fun (although we do plenty of both)! Every class is thoughtfully designed to introduce young children to the building blocks of music through joyful hands-on experiences with their favorite grown-ups! Singing, movement, rhythm activities, instrument exploration, and imaginative play all work together to create a rich musical environment where children learn through play.
Our Munchkins are introduced to musical concepts such as rhythm, tempo, dynamics, listening, and musical expression! This includes exploration of a variety of music styles ranging from classics, international selections, and contemporary favorites! This diverse exposure not only supports musical development, but also broadens cultural awareness and appreciation.
Research shows that early musical experiences support language, cognitive, and social-emotional development. As children sing, move, clap, dance, and create music with each other, they’re strengthening important life skills!
Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes and are grouped by age to ensure that the curriculum aligns with each child’s developmental stage.
Our age-specific programs include:
Babies-Young 1’s – Gentle, sensory-rich experiences to bond through music.
Music for 1’s – Encouraging early movement, listening, and social interaction.
Music for 2’s – Fostering independence, motor skills, and early rhythm patterns.
Music for 3’s and 4’s – Supporting creative expression, ensemble play, and musical literacy.
With engaging activities and nurturing guidance, Musical Munchkins helps children grow musically, socially, and emotionally!
